How SSP Media handles personal information on sspmedia.ca, what Google Analytics collects once you accept, and how to reach us about it.

SSP Media is a website, social media and digital marketing company based in Southwold, Ontario. This page explains what happens to personal information on sspmedia.ca.
What we collect
- When you contact us. If you email us, call us or book a session, we keep what you send us so that we can answer you and do the work.
- When you sign up for our newsletter. Your email address, which is held by Acumbamail, our newsletter provider. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and nothing is sent to Acumbamail unless you submit the form.
- When you visit this site. Nothing until you choose it. This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read. Google Analytics sets cookies, so it stays switched off until you accept it in the banner. If you accept, Google receives your IP address, the pages you view and basic device information. You can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer.
Like every web server, ours records the address of each request, the browser making it and the time. Those logs are used to keep the site working and secure.
How we use it
We use personal information to reply to you, to deliver the work you have asked for, to send the newsletter you signed up for, and to understand which parts of this site are useful. We do not sell it.
Who else sees it
Only the services we use to run the business: our web host, our email provider, Acumbamail for the newsletter, TidyCal for bookings, and Google Analytics if you accept it. Some of them store information outside Canada, where the laws of that country apply.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires, and then we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to analytics. Write to info@sspmedia.ca and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (opens in a new tab).
